Live Life In Full Colour
I’m frequently asked why colour plays such a significant part in my coaching business so in this post I aim to give you a clear understanding of the reason behind this and how working with colour benefits you.
Whenever we undertake any kind of transition process we are letting go of who we thought we were in order to lean into that person we are becoming. Soul work is about responding to the deep needs and desires of your heart-your intentions. It is about growing and evolving into the authentic expression of your essence. It is about waking up from the beliefs and illusions that keep you trapped in the same old story. In order to open the door to our soul’s work we must first begin to conquer the survival patterns of the ego. The ego is only interested in surviving and is totally dominated by fear. It will do anything to sabotage success if our survival mechanisms get activated. Working with the coloured oils and essences we are able to bring balance and coherence to the body so that we can hear and then follow the deepest messages of our soul.
The body holds trapped emotions from the past. These can be emotional patterns of behaviour that come from childhood, past lives and/or ancestral wounding. Unless these emotions are healed they’ll keep coming back around to trip us up everytime we venture down a new path.
So how does colour impact us?
The power of colour is a fascinating and multifaceted topic that spans various disciplines and aspects of the human experience.
1. Psychological Impact:
Colours can profoundly influence our emotions, moods, and behaviours. For instance:
- Red often evokes excitement, urgency, or passion
- Blue tends to promote calmness and trust
- Green is associated with nature and can have a balancing effect
- Yellow is frequently linked to optimism and energy
2. Physiological Effects:
Colours can have measurable effects on our bodies:
- Blue light can affect circadian rhythms and sleep patterns
- Red environments may increase heart rate and blood pressure
- Green spaces have been shown to reduce stress and promote healing
3. Marketing and Branding:
Companies leverage colour psychology to influence consumer behaviour:
- Many fast-food chains use red and yellow to stimulate appetite and create urgency
- Banks often use blue to convey trust and stability
- Luxury brands frequently employ black, gold, or purple to signify exclusivity
4. Art and Design:
Colour theory is fundamental in visual arts:
- Artists use colour to create mood, depth, and visual interest
- Designers employ colour to guide attention and improve user experience
5. Cultural Significance:
Colour meanings can vary significantly across cultures:
- White symbolizes purity in Western cultures but mourning in some Eastern cultures
- Red signifies good luck in China but can represent danger in Western contexts
6. Nature and Biology:
In the natural world, colours serve crucial functions:
- Camouflage helps animals blend with their environment
- Bright colours in animals and plants can serve as warning signals or attract mates/pollinators
7. Health and Therapy:
Colour is used in various therapeutic contexts:
- Chromotherapy uses colours to promote healing and balance
- Light therapy is used to treat seasonal affective disorder
8. Communication and Symbolism:
Colours are powerful communicators:
- Traffic lights use universally recognized colour coding
- Warning signs often employ red or yellow for quick recognition
9. Technology:
Colour plays a crucial role in digital interfaces:
- Colour coding in user interfaces improves navigation and usability
- Colour calibration is essential in photography and digital art
10. Science and Measurement:
Colour is an important aspect of scientific observation and measurement:
- Spectroscopy uses colour analysis to identify chemical compounds

The power of colour lies in its ability to influence our perceptions, emotions, and behaviours, often subconsciously. Whether in nature, art, technology, or everyday life, colour plays a vital role in how we experience and interact with the world around us. Understanding and harnessing the power of colour can lead to more effective communication, improved well-being, and enhanced aesthetic experiences.
Here are a few comments from some current clients:
“I have been absolutely astonished by what I have learned from colour mirroring. It has helped me understand my path and explain why things are as they are. Kath has a warm and loving spirit; her beauty and kindness flow in abundance and I am enjoying my journey with her immensely.”
"I have really enjoyed my colour sessions with Kath so far. The colour healing never fails to exactly pinpoint the deep subconscious patterning, which needs to be cleared. This combined with Kath’s extensive knowledge of energy healing, her intuition, and ability to make this work fun have already created rapid results in my personal development. I now feel more self-empowered and connected to my true self.”
Working with the Colour Mirrors System of 87 coloured oils I am able to access information from the unconscious field and heal a multitude of old outdated patterns that keep you stuck in lack, betrayal, low self-esteem, addiction, giving your power away to others. After a short period of time, you’ll start to gain greater clarity, have more energy, see from a much higher perspective and find the necessary courage to let go of what no longer serves you. Clients frequently comment on having better sleep quality, improved cognition levels, greater creativity, more luck, feeling more joy and a sense of being in the moment.
